Description
Exploring the southern side of Sierra Nevada privately turns the trip into a unhurried experience, free from the rigidity of mass schedules and guided by a cultural host dedicated exclusively to the group. It is the ideal formula for unraveling the Alpujarra region with the calm, respect and flexibility that such a unique territory deserves.
The day begins right at the doorstep of your accommodation, where our private premium vehicle handles door-to-door transfers. From that moment on, we adapt the itinerary to the group's pace, allowing longer stays at the most interesting spots and adjusting travel times with complete freedom.
Our route crosses the Puente de Tablate, a historic border and gateway to the mountains, flanking the lands of Lanjarón and Órgiva. As we ascend towards the Barranco de Poqueira, the surroundings become serene and the landscape of Andalusian terraces takes center stage. In Pampaneira, the streets show the network of tinaos and the workshops where the medieval art of the low loom survives. In Pórtugos, we stop before the striking spout of Fuente Agria, whose waters stain the limestone rock.
The trip continues to Trevélez, where the pure air of the high peaks favors the natural curing of ham in traditional drying houses, an ideal place for a private tasting of local products. The experience culminates in the heights of Capileira, enjoying a traditional Alpujarra lunch in a select and peaceful setting, before setting off on a comfortable return without pressure.
